Average Cost

Posted By: Jessica on Feb 21st 2008 @ 4:39 pm

That’s Marketing!

Posted By: Noel on Jul 13th 2007 @ 1:59 pm

If we are asked to promote a movie in our town, let’s say “Pirates of the Caribbean” and we make a poster that says “Pirates of the Caribbean playing at The Main coming June 15th” that’s advertising. If we hire a bunch of actors to dress up as Pirates and run around the town handing out flyers, that’s promotion. If a pirate trips and falls thru a store window, that’s publicity. If we get the store owner to laugh about it, that’s public relations. If the town people go to the movie and the kid at the concession stand convinces you to buy the $15 “Pop and Popcorn Value Meal” as opposed to a $10 popcorn and $7 soda, that’s sales. This whole thing together, THAT’S MARKETING!

Procrastination - A Four-Letter Word

Posted By: Noel on Jun 25th 2007 @ 4:54 pm

Another great article from the folks at Creative Latitude. What is procrastination and how does it become such an ingrained habit? We get into a horrible cycle of not doing what we are supposed to be doing, then feeling guilty about not doing it, so we go to our computers to play on our MYSPACE page in complete denial and self-depreciation because we don’t want to deal with it at all.
