There will always be some kid who's the new Kurt Cobain writing great lyrics and singing from his soul. The problem is they're not marketing that anymore or putting it out there.

It's really hard to design products by focus groups. A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them.

Apple’s iPhone Ads

Posted By: Derek on Jun 7th 2007 @ 11:32 am

iphoneApple just rolled out some new ads for it’s iPhone coming out June 29th. I myself will most likely not be getting one, because of the service being through AT&T only, but the Ads make me want one bad.

I found John Gruber talking about the ads and he made a great point…

Linking to Apple’s three new iPhone commercials yesterday, I observed that no other cell phone is advertised by showing off the user interface. Thinking about it some more, I can’t recall the last time I’ve seen any tech product advertised simply by demonstrating how it works.

That is something so powerfull, that they can just show how the product is used to sell it and do a great job. It says a lot about the product and Apple. I think they could make some great ads just showing their computers being used. Check out more info about the iPhone on Apple’s site.
